Thoughts after meeting the Quinary ladies at the V&A
Gedanken nach dem Quinary Treffen im V&A

It was wonderful and exiting to meet the friends in the members café of the V&A. We spoke about organisation and afterwards each one presented her work in progress for the Coventry exhibition.
Es war wunderbar und auch aufregend sich im Members Cafe des V&A mit den Freundinnen zu treffen. Zunächst haben wir Organisatorisches besprochen und anschließend hat jede von uns ihre Arbeiten ( die zum Teil noch im Entstehungsprozess sind) für die Coventry Ausstellung präsentiert.

The first part of my work links to the time after the WW2 and the soft wobbling presentation underlines this. In every involved country the people had to improvising in the all day live, as well in looking for material for building etc. In Germany the "Trümmerfrauen", women who collected and cleaned old building material for constructing new houses etc. , were a important group in the destroyed cities.
Der erste Teil meiner Arbeit bezieht sich auf die Zeit nach dem Krieg und durch die leichte Instabilität wird dies auch unterstrichen. Die Bevölkerung in den betroffenen Ländern musste improvisieren auch in der Materialbeschaffung für Gebäude usw. In Deutschland waren die Trümmerfrauen eine wichtige Gruppe in den Städten, die aufräumte und noch zu gebrauchendes Baumaterial säuberte und sammelte.

In total I have to say that I´m not really satisfied with the second part of the work. But by getting an idea about the hole presentation I noticed that I have to check the colored part and refine it.
Insgesamt bin ich aber mit dem zweiten Teil nicht so zufrieden. Durch die Möglichkeit eine Vorstellung von der Gesamtpräsentation zu bekommen, wurde mir klar, dass ich an dem "farbigen Teil" etwas verändern muss.

The idea arose to build a bundle out of the colored "stones". I have to think about and look for new solutions.
Die Idee ein Bündel aus farbigen "Steinen" zu formen, kristallisiert sich heraus. Da muss ich weiter dran arbeiten und das ganze verfeinern.
